First IMM post of the year, Hooray! Haven't had much time for reviewing, but I have been reading a ton lately. I had some xmas gift cards left over so I decided to take a quick trip down to my local B&N. I love that place.... So relaxing.
Picked up a copy of:
Masque of the Red Death by Bethany Griffin
Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo
The Lost Code by Kevin Emerson

I'm super excited about all three books, in particular- The Lost Code, it's not very often we get a male YA author. Can't wait to get started! What did you get in your mailbox? Share your links :)

  1. I couldn't finish both The Lost Code & Masque of the Red Death. I know people say the last hundred or so pages of Masque of the Red Death is soo good, but I just couldn't get through the beginning half.
Thanks for stopping by my STS! (:

  3. I haven't read any of those yet, but I agree that The Lost Code sounds most interesting - it's true that I don't see that many male YA authors. My favorite YA author is a male, though (John Green).

I hope you enjoy your new reads. And thanks for the follow - I've followed back!

  4. I have seen all the books you mentioned but I don't know what they're about. Their spines look very pretty though! Thanks for stopping by my IMM. New follower here!

  7. The Lost Code -- can't say I've heard of this before, but I agree: it sounds interesting. I'll be tacking it on my list of books to check out! And I do hope you enjoy Shadow & Bone! I loved every bit while reading it, and I'm excited for the sequel's release this June.

    Happy reading!

  9. Masque of the Red Death sounds really good and I might have to check it out. I read Shadow and Bone and wasn't the biggest fan of it. An okay read but nothing special in my opinion. Hope you enjoy them! Thanks for the comment and the follow too :) And I LOVED Anna and the French Kiss.

Because without any warning of the writing style, I can definitely see why it would be frazzling for the reader.
